SAVE YOUR AC BILL

 AIRTRON

When it comes to electricity bills, we pay through our nose because of the air-conditioner usage. As AC's had become a necessity rather than  luxury, reducing the EB bill had become a very challenging task. But, Airtron had developed a mechanism which could be fitted to the AC and it is believed that it would bring down electricity consumption by nearly 30% - 35%.

Airton is guaranteed to bring down electricity consumption even as it maintains the fixed amient room temperature.

It is equipped with dual sensors, the micro - processor based device uses the excess energy in the coil of the conventional AC's that would normally be wasted.

The sensors, one fitted to the coil of the AC and the other for checking the room temperature - works in tandem with the multi - algorithm software to ensure not only energy saving but also maintenance of comfortable room temperature.

Airtron, can be fitted on to any type of AC, including splits, multi-splits, windows, and Inverters for a very minimal cost.

Know Your Bills

                                                              SERVICE TAX

Service Tax is a component that goes to the Central Government, who imposes a levy on the services you enjoy. Earlier, it covered restaurants that were air-conditioned, and served alcohol, but now applies to all eating joints. In the last budget, service tax was upped from 12.56% to 14%, and most restaurants charge it on 40%of the total bill ( including service charge ). The resultant rate of service tax because of the cap of 40% works out to be 5.6%. This rise, as per hoteliers, is responsible for growing consumer resistance.

                                                           SERVICE CHARGE

Service Charge is a variable component of the invoice, and falls between 5% and 12%. This money actually is distributed among the kitchen employees and stewards.

                                                           VALUE ADDED TAX

VAT varies between states ( Maharashtra charges 12.5% ) and differs according to category of beverage and food item. For instance, it is 20% for hard liquor, 5% for wine.

                                                                  CHARITY

Some eateries that tie-up with non-profits, add a nominal amount to the bill, which they then pass on to the charity. The fine print of the bill tens to mention it but most guests are unaware that they are playing Good Samaritan, and may even oversee the additional charge of the bill.

Cognac - The Brandy

Hey Friends, lets have a boozy reading!!

COGNAC ( BRANDY )

Cognac is named after the town of Cognac in France and is the most famous variety of brandy produced in the wine growing region surrounding the town from which it takes its name. The demarcated brandy regions in Europe are Cognac and Armagnac in France and Jerez in Spain and their 300 years old production remain unchanged

Cognac is made of Saint Emillion grapes, they are distilled twice in copper pot stills and are aged atleast for 2 years in French oak barells and are produced by " Water of Life " which means double distilling white wines from any growth areas.

It was first created to use up the grape waste of wine making and was considered a drink of the poor,  the wine waste was dry acidic thin and not suitable for drinking but excellent for distillation and after distillation is complete, it must be aged for 2 years to be called " COGNAC".

The final product is diluted to 40% alcohol content and 80% with pure and distilled water, infact some add caramel to color the Cognac.

Each Cognac house has a master taster who is responsible for creating this delicate blend of spirits. The cognac produced by a company today will be similar to that of 50 years back. It is considered similar to a blended whisky or non vintage Champagne, which also rely on blending to achieve a consistent flavour.
